We are working on ways to spread the word of the ministry to get more donations as we are in the planning stages of setting up a second Faith Home Ministries home in Vermont for transitional youth. The Maryland home needs upkeep as well. This is a process that will take time; to have both homes ready for residents, and funding to afford the upkeep and necessary construction. Meanwhile, we keep busy with the two girls in the MD home and working on the
upkeep of the MD house (with volunteers in spare time so a lengthy process). The first-floor bathroom tile was not properly installed with cement board backing and a leak rotted the wooden underlayment. Currently, we are working on removing all the wooden rotted floor, laying new wood, then cement board, then new tile-- in the first-floor bathroom. Further upkeep on the list includes fresh coats of paint, fixing broken thresholds, etc. This keeps us busy until Spring when we focus on the basement construction.
